Use this PHP-based link checker to scan for broken links to web pages, images (png,gif,jpg,png) or other source files (mp3,xml,rss).The system will scan the base URL you supply below as well as any links which begin with that URL. It will NOT crawl beyond the base URL at this time.   The scan will check one link per second, is not multi-threaded and will return a list of links it has checked and tell you the status i.e. 404 NOT FOUND, 200 OK, etc.   This was once based on code from sam j. clarke's PHP script.
